Practising...

Days gone by by lille-ursus

...my plait skills on Anne-Sophie's long hair - while she's wearing some of Emil's confirmation clothes!! (I honestly don't know anyone who freezes more than her - always wrapped up in clothes, blankets and socks.)

I'm trying out new ways of doing the plaiting. I can tell by the look of the photo that I'm not quite there yet. Plaits have never looked good when they have been through my hands and fingers.

But most of all I was plaiting Anne-Sophie's hair because she needed a little break and some tender care, while spending hours and days preparing for her last 4 oral exams.

  1. Plaits never look good when they've been through my hands either - if I had an extra 2 or 3 hands then maybe I would be better at it. My poor kids! It's ponytails every day for them!

  3. It's funny how some people are so good at that hair stuff, Georgia. Anne-Sophie can make the most amazing plaits on herself - even without looking! :))

And I don't think that it's practice I need - I have had SO many years to do that, with no good result. :)) But the extra hand or 2, that is a brilliant idea. :)))

    ..........

    Hav en dejlig mandag. :))

  4. On my daughter the plaits turn out much better when the hair is a bit wet. With 3 parts it is easier than with 5.... and of course she needs to sit still. (but I guess Anne- Sophie is old enough for that part ;o)

  5. Haha, you are so right, rahel - she does sit still. But it hasn't always been like that. ;))
Nowadays it's not often that I get to plait her hair any longer, so I love it even more when it's possible. It's so cosy and we get to chat at the same time.

Wet hair does make it a lot easier to manage the plait. And when it gets dry is leaves so many fine waves in the hair. Anne-Sophie loved that when she was little. :))
