And here is the proof.
If you ask me, then there are lots of hexagons in that little pile. But actually there are not many - and certainly not enough!
I have really had my doubts about which fabrics to use, since I don't know whether the blanket is going to be for a boy or a girl.
But at least I have decided to have a plain fabric - a bright grey linen -among the many printed ones, in order to make the blanket look a bit organized.
The puzzle effect amuses me and I have moved the present hexagons around several times already. But I will have to cut and sew all of the pieces before making the final position of the hexagons.

I am new to your blog. Is creating a hexagon easy to do? I see so many hexagon I am wandering....love the colors though.
ReplyDeletehave fun!
Hi 3iNnA,
ReplyDeleteCreating the hexagons isn't that hard. It just takes a lot of time and I think that one has to be very accurate in the measuring and cutting. :)
...........
Thank you very much, Rosa. :)) It really is fun - I look forward to sewing them all together. But playing with the colors and prints is fabulous too. :))
............
Helt bestemt, Marie-Louise.
ReplyDeleteI love the colours and textures. Enjoy the process.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot, Millie. :)) It has taken me quite a long time to pick them out, and even after that I were not sure.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the process so much. Handsewing is just my thing. :))
..............
Kh
Ulla
thanks for the info. ulla.
ReplyDeletebonne chance !
ReplyDeleteI don't know if it was helpful, 3iNna. :) If you want to know more about hexagons then try to google it. There are several fine tutorials out there, and on youtube too. :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck.
..........
Thanks a lot, Thelma :). I hope that it will work out with this little hexagon blanket. Maybe I will get all hooked on sewing in this way. :))
I think your hexagons are so pretty ... isn't grey a wonderful color?
