Sometimes I find a shop which is so lovely, that I feel like it was made for me....and I don't feel the need to share it with anyone.
Such a shop is Kids Tricot. I have known the French shop for a long time now, and I simply adore all of the designs which come from the hands of Muriel Agator.
Some of you probably already know it - from ravelry perhaps - but I think it deserves to be mentioned everywhere possible. The shop just turned 1 year a few days ago.
I bought three patterns a while ago and I can't wait to try them out sometime. They all have the elegance of French clothes and yet they still have a special touch of details. They have a dateless design and that is in my opion the key concept to fine models.
Some of the patterns are written in French (but remember that it's not an issue with this), and quite a few are translated to English as well.
I definitely think that you should go have a look at the shop - if you love knitting. I don't think that you will regret it.

I can hardly believe it
...but I don't think that any of the boots from here, are very tempting this autumn! I had hoped for something more colorful.
That must be the very first time I feel that way.
So I guess that a pair of these is what I'm going for, when the days get even colder and socks, shoes and boots are a necessity.

But I won't mind if we wait just a bit....

Sweets...the fluffy kind
I knew that this kind of candy could be made from felt, but I haven't seen them knitted before. You can find a pattern for them in this German shop.
And you can make lollipops and icecreams too...
Maybe they can be useful for my sweet tooth?

Redcap, Mario and flowers
Yesterday I managed to transfer this embroidery to the Gingham tunic I'm making for myself. It's Little Redcap designed by Cathy Gaubert, and I have been looking so much forward to getting her on a piece of clothes.
Maybe you remember one of Little Redcap's sisters Ursula. Oh, how I love that designer...Cathy has a very special talent.
It was my first try with a blue transfer pen, and I didn't get it as clear as I wanted it to be. But I can see Little Redcap enough to embroider her on to the fabric.
I also took these with me - Anne-Sophie loves to get flowers from our garden. I like how light and summery it looks...

Preparations
However it's not something completely done. It's just a bunch of tunics, which I have cut out - while using the pincushion, which used to be my mother's.
I love all of those little people holding hands around the pillow. And it brings me so many lovely memories of my mother creating, when I was younger and a child.
A while ago my mother wanted to throw the pincushion away, because she no longer is able to sew (due to the fact that she got partly paralysed from a stroke).
Luckily I prevented the pretty treasure from going to the bin.
Three of the tunics are for me - the one with the letters and flowers is meant to fit a girl size 5.
My tunics are actually all cut from the same pattern as this. I like wearing that tunic so much - the fit is quite good, I think.
I want to make the tunics very different from each other by adding various details. Hopefully I will have some new clothes before autumn comes.

Just call me a cow...
...(or should I say calf) if you see me in a dress or tunic made from this bubbly fabric, sometime in the future.
Of course it's Marimekko who made it, and it has actually been around for a while. I even saw it in my no longer existing favourite shop. Why on earth I didn't buy it then, is a puzzle to me!
But it's still available in some online shops, and I hope to get these playful calves on my fabric shelf sometime soon.
Futhermore I hope to start sewing again....things have been rather stagnant in the crafting area, as you probably already have discovered. But I simply haven't put a lot of effort into it, because of my silly back. As always it takes a while, and when I'm a bit better I promise to make something to show you....and not least; for my own sake.

Number 2
Did you know that number
of this fabulous book
is on it's way - this autumn??
I will definitely look forward to that.

A barter deal
When I saw the pattern for this cardigan in Hendes Verden, I knew that it would be perfect for Anne-Sophie. She loves to put on a soft and big cardigan when she has some time off, and always tends to wear my favourite cardigan. Here at home and in her own apartment...
So it didn't take me long to ask her, whether the above-mentioned cardigan could work as a suitable replacement.
Anne-Sophie liked it, she picked a color and I bought the yarn - Garnstudio Paris - right here.
The big needles and the thick yarn make the work go a bit faster than usual. That suits me just fine - the sooner the better I will get my cardigan back in my closet. ;)

19 years late!
If only Noa Noa had come up with the idea of making baby sizes 19 years ago, so I could have dressed Anne-Sophie in some of this gorgeous baby clothes...
I really like the elegance and the simplicity in their design - and of course the materials.
Maybe you can dress a little sweetheart in their tiny trousers and lovely cardigans?

For 1st day at school
A little while ago a friend of mine asked me to make a dress for her daughter. It was to be used for her very first day at school.
I was so honored and proud that I got to make such a dress. I know how important that day is for a family.
So this is how it turned out - the pattern is from a Japanese book with children's clothes. The fabric was chosen by the little schoolgirl and so was the bow and the bias tape.
I sure hope that little Alma gets a wonderful day....

I love the rainbow...
And this is how it looked like yesterday, seen from my livingroom window.
But I sure love this sweet boy much, much more. He's 13 years today - I can't believe it....

Where patterns are concerned, I have no backbone - at all!
After seing so many fabulous versions of the Ice Cream Dress, I finally caved in and bought the pattern.
I'm glad that you don't know how many times I put that particular pattern in the shop's shopping bag - and then pulled it out again, because I convinced myself that it was stupid. My children are far too old!

But now it's too late, and I'm sure that I (hopefully) find a little girl to make this dress for.
The lovely pattern which has just the exact amount of details, and still looks so elegant and simple when it's done.
If you want to have a look at more Ice Cream Dresses, then go to this group - but be aware....

P O I S...again
The Mario X-stitch is done and I only need to sew on the strap, before the bag for Anne-Sophie is done.
So now it's time to take out the - rather old - project with the peas.
I love all of those green shades and can't wait to start making the many tiny peas above the letters. It's funny how cross stitches carry me away at the moment...

I'm enjoying this pattern so much. All those marvellous tiny details make my imagination happy.
The embroidery is actually a bit more done, than you can see in the picture. I have stitched her dress and at the moment I'm making the lace trimming on it.
It's strange how a piece of needlework can make me so happy and engaged...
