W a l d o r f - d o l l s

This summer I have decided that I have to make my very first Waldorf doll. I have mentioned it before, but somehow I haven't had the courage to begin.

After reading Wenche's fantastic book I'm sure that I can do it, and I also have the materials waiting upstairs in my sewing room. Maybe it's the hair part which seems too tricky for me?

I dream of all the beautiful clothes one can creat for the dolls. A very inspirering site is Citronille's Happy to see you, where you can find wonderful patterns. Some are even similar to patterns which can be bought for children's clothes.

Maybe I can persuade Anne-Sophie to make the dolls with me? I'm not sure that she will join me, but then I will enjoy having a lovely time teaching her a bit of crocheting. The tiny bit I know....But we have both made up our minds to learn how to crochet Granny Squares for a blanket.

The 3 beautiful dolls are made by these talented people. The boy with the lovely red hair is from Nils Happy to see you. The little girl with the hat is made by Anouk from Fabrique Romantique. And the girl with the bunny is made by Sophie from Sous le Figuier.

      Rigtig god søndag. :))

  2. If you crochet, the hair should be one of the easiest parts! I'm sure you'll enjoy making your doll :).

    1. Oh, I hope that I have the needed skills, Jill. My crocheting is not that good yet. ;)) But that will not stop me this summer.

You make the most beautiful dolls. Their faces are magnificent and so full of life. :))

    1. Hi Anouk,
I'm really glad that you like to follow my little blog. I love to see your work on flickr and keep getting amazed by the dolls you create. And their clothes! I'm so sorry that I didn't credit you in the right way. I thought that the text under each photo would lead people to the creators' blog/flickr.
But now I will definitely add a note in my post, so everyone gets credit for their beautiful dolls. :))
And thanks a lot for your sweet offer to help me, when I get started on my doll. :))

Men hår må de små jo have.

Hav en rigtig god dag i morgen,

      KH

  7. Ulla, how beautiful. I've been tempted myself, but I'll wait to see your beautiful dolls. I have a question for you: I consider you a Pippi Longstocking expert! And now I'm making a pattern. My book (Pippi Longstocking by Astrid Lindgren) describes Pippi as having a homemade dress of blue and red, with one brown stocking and one black. A reader commented and said she should have a yellow dress and one striped and one black stocking. She said it was from the Pippi book. Now I am confused! Do you know which is right, or where the yellow/striped description is found? Thanks! me@larissaholland.com
