I had an email the other day from the shop Intera.
They carry a lot of Marimekko's products - both fabrics, clothes, towels, cups and so on.
At the moment they are having a little sale on the cotton fabric. I thought I was going to buy the yellow one with pink dots, which I love so much, but I ended up paying for the pink and red one you above.
For a while I have been tired of the Marimekko flowers - they had simply been seen so much. But now I'm liking some of the new color combinations - especially the black background attracts me.
The 2 metres of fabric were ordered in the afternoon, and they arrived here at my house the next morning!

ReplyDeleteI love Marimekko too—in fact this time last year I was making a wedding cake inspired by those great fabrics. It, of course, ended up being one of my favorite cake jobs ever!...too much fun!
Næste gang du er i Århus, så aflæg butikken et besøg. De har altid rester til ca halv pris og en masse udgaver af marimekkos stof, som ikke kan ses på deres hjemmeside. Behøver jeg sige, at jeg er stamkunde :-)

ReplyDeleteThat cake sounds absolutely amazing. I sure would wish that I had the skills to make fantastic cakes. The married couple must have been over the moon with such a lovely cake. :))

Det må jeg gøre, Hanne. Jeg har været der et par gange, men det er ved at være længe siden.
Den ene gang gik jeg ind i butikken med et specifikt ærinde og skyndte mig ud igen. ;)) Der var for meget der fristede...
Engang havde jeg jo en Marimekko forhandler ikke langt herfra, men desværre er Eva Jessens butik lukket nu. Hun havde ellers også altid de fede anderledes Marimekko stoffer. Jeg må altså engang have det med kalvene på. Har du set det?
Tak for tippet. Næste gang skal jeg helt sikkert have fundet restebunken til halv pris. :))
