110 - 140 cl.

.......

During the holiday I had a flashback of the good kind. I were looking at Centilong's patterns for fall, when I came across this. The finest quilted jacket for small and big girls.

It reminded me of a little quilted jacket I made for Anne-Sophie, when she was about 1½ years old. A stripy one with dotty contrast fabric and pink bias tape. The fact that the hat was rather ugly, is another matter, but that just shows how one's style changes over the years. While other designs remain fine and fit for use - and not least timeless.

The kind of jacket I saw at Centilong, I have been searching for, for a long time. Actually I tried back in 1993 to find one more, so I could make Anne-Sophie a bigger jacket, because the one on the photo had become too small for her.

But now it's here...and I'm going to buy the pattern. Even though it's here 16 years too late and Anne-Sophie has grown out of size 110 - 140 cl. a long time ago.

      Rigtig god weekend...

  2. What a sweet jacket! I am sure you'll find another sweet girl who will be wearing it as proudly as Anne-Sophie did years ago.

We have been on a lovely holiday and now things have come to a fact and we will move in a month, as we decided yesterday. Which is good news overall.
The girl will go to the new school in mid September, so her 1st day of school will not be in the school she already thought, with all her Kindergarden friends, no in an unfamiliar school, with nobody she knows and I am a bit ecxited about that. But also I am sure she will make it just fine, the great girl. And the boy has to change Kindergarden. Oh dear, not only the sister is away but also new Kindergarden ladies, this is also making me worried, but a deep breath and confident thoughts will make them go their way, don't you think?

Big hug, I hope all is well,

    Nina

    1. Thank you so much, Nina. :))) I'm sure I will find a little girl for the jacket. If not then I will keep the pattern for later in life, when my children get children. ;))

So many new things are happening in your lives. I definitely understand your concern about the children starting in new places. Luckily most children are so easy to adapt into new environments, and I'm sure that both will be happy and make many friends in school and Kindergarten. I have seen that so many times while working as a kindergarten teacher.
Besides that I'm absolutely sure that you have given them so much love and faith in themselves, that they can handle it. :))

I will think of you all the next many days. Take care.
