Gorgeous Juju

On our trip to town yesterday, Christian and I also had to go to several bookstores to check out the books. We both love that, and could spend hours looking for great books.

But once again I just discovered that there aren't any new books in the sewing and knitting area.

Then I started looking for an issue of a book my sister and I read a lot when we were younger. It's actually a whole series of books - "Mit Skatkammer 1-10" - but I was only looking for one in particular. It's called "Fortæl mor!"

It has the most wonderful fairtales and I especially love the one where a troll gets conjured into a little island in the middle of a pond. Sadly I couldn't find it.

So today I ordered the most wonderful sewing book in Finnish on the internet instead.... ;0)

Now with Ducks' feet

Anne-Sophie and her boyfriend invited Emil to a restaurant the other day. The date was set for today and Emil had been looking so much forward to it ever since..... Off we went the 5 of us, and while the "kids" enjoyed themselves eating and having a cozy time at the restaurant, Christian and I spent some time strolling about in Viborg, so we could take the young people back home when they were done.

Sale has begun in the shops and far too many people went to town today! But we were not in a hurry and coped rather well with the big crowd and the steady pace....

For Christmas I got a wonderful French sewing book - which is on it's way - and a gift voucher for my favourite shoe shop from Christian and our children.

The boots above are the ones I bought, so now I'm wearing Ducks' feet (Andefødder)...that's what they are called here in Denmark due to their similarity to ducks' feet.

I used to have "Andefødder" (boots) when I was a child, because my mother adored them. For many years I simply hated them!! But all of a sudden I "forgot" about former days of dislike and I just had to have a pair again.......you can't imagine how nice they are to wear! I feel like a lucky duck...

18 litres of...

I spent the coming of the new year being happy with a warm heart and surrounded by loved

ones.

We had our traditional game of gifts and I was lucky enough to win Emil's contribution: 18 litres of popcorn! I LOVE popcorn....

Today will be spent doing nothing else than the things we feel like doing: relaxing, talking, laughing, watching TV, eating popcorn (!), playing games, reading and maybe knitting a row or two on Anne-Sophie's cardigan.

But when tomorrow comes we will all be ready to grab the opportunities of the new year, and do what we can to make it a good, exciting one full of of love.
